North Bihar Para-Medical Institute is recognised by Department of Health, Govt. of Bihar vide their notification no. 1028(1) dated 31-12-2005 under Bihar Para-Medical/ Para Dental Regulation 2005. The State Govt. has granted affiliation for Diploma level programme to this institute vide their letter no. 1/PM-08/2009-651(1) Dated: 22-09-2011. The certificate is awarded by the Department of Health, Govt. of Bihar.
Foreword
The faculty views Para-Medical courses as a profession which makes definite contribution to Primary Health Care. The scope of Para-Medical courses includes the prevention of disease, the promotion of health consciousness among individuals, families and community and the care for the sick, injured and infirm in the Hospitals and Community. The concept of comprehensive Nursing includes care during illness, rehabilitation, guiding and teaching of patients and family regarding continued care, recovery and of health care. Nursing is a dynamic therapeutic and educative process of meeting the health needs of the society. Effective professional education requires an appropriate connection between the art and science of professional practice.
The faculty perceives education and learning as process of behavioral change which may be brought about in a climate of mutual trust and understanding. Education for living and for the practice of Nursing is based on understanding of man derived from knowledge of the humanities psychological, social, biological and physical sciences of human beings. Nursing as an applied science develops its theory through the analysis and synthesis of observation derived from the care of people in variety of setting. There should be a constant enlargement of theory directed towards the improvement of Nursing practice through scholarly enquiry and research.
The faculty accepts its responsibility to make provision in this programme for the continued development of the student as an individual citizen and as a professional nurse.
Profile
The society has been conceived to impart world class education in the medical/allied sciences, to manage and open charitable hospital/diagnostic centers, holding free medical camps, giving scholarships to poor needy students and to provide help to persons affected by natural calamities like earthquake, flood etc.
